Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

The best performers of the session were Jenn Feng New Energy Co Ltd ( TW: ), which rose 70.12% or 11.92 points to trade at 28.92 at the close. Meanwhile, King’s Town Construction Co Ltd (TW:) added 10.00% or 6.70 points to end at 73.70 and Harvatek Corp (TW: ) was up 10.00% or 2.10 points to trade at 23.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Career Technology MFG Co Ltd (TW:), which was down 7.98% or 1.30 points in late trade at 15:00. Mao Bao Inc (TW:) declined 7.42% or 2.30 points to end at 28.70 and Ta Liang Technology Co Ltd (TW:) declined 7.14% or 8.00 points to 104.00. .
Declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange 0 to 0.

Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.96% or 0.68 to $71.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for March delivery rose 0.88% or 0.65 to $74.64 a barrel, while February gold futures fell 0.09% or 2.36 to 2615 .74 dollars per troy ounce.
USD/TWD rose 0.15% to 32.80, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.18% to 0.22.
US dollar index futures fell 0.16% to 107.76.
