The company claims to be a global multi-platform gaming company. On September 23, 2024, after the market closed, the Company issued a press release entitled Light & Wonder Statement on Dragon Train Litigation, in which it disclosed that it had received an order from the US District Court for the District of Nevada granting Aristocrat a preliminary injunction which refers to L&Ws Dragon Train game.
Judge Novarros’ September 20, 2024 order found that it was highly likely that Aristocrat would be able to prove that L&W misappropriated Aristocrat’s trade secrets in its development of Dragon Train.
Following this news, L&W’s stock price fell $21.97 per share, nearly 20%, to $90.71 per share on September 24, 2024.
