A Connecticut man allegedly killed a mother whose child owed him more than $400
AND The man from Connecticut facing multiple charges in the deaths of a mother and her young son who allegedly killed them over money the woman owed him.
New details have been released about the November arrest of Lance “Macho” Morales, 23, following his initial court appearance in Hartford, Connecticut, on Monday.
Morales is accused of killing 20-year-old Jessiah Mercado and her 4-month-old son Messiah Diaz in a drive-by shooting on Nov. 19.

According to the arrest warrant, Morales opened fire on the car the two were in because Mercado owed him $400 for the use of his Mazda SUV, the Associated Press reported.
He charged her $100 a day to rent a vehicle, and she allegedly defaulted on the payments.
Ago fatal shooting in broad daylight there was a conversation between Morales and Mercado, in which she told him that her son was in the SUV. A witness told police that Morales said he didn’t care, AP reports.
During the brazen crime, there were two other people in the car, but only one of them was injured.

Morales’ firearm is believed to have been fully automatic, according to the arrest warrant.
After the fatal shooting, a large four-day search for Morales took place, and it is at an end arrested in Puerto Rico November 23. He was extradited to Connecticut on Saturday.

Morales is accused of two counts of murder, assault and other crimes, and faces life in prison without parole if convicted.
He was ordered held on $5 million bail during a court hearing Monday.
