President Donald Trump He said that the construction of a shield with an iron dome was a major priority for him on Monday, calling for a “immediate” work on the project before signing the executive command.
Trump presented remarks at a Republican dinner in Florida on Monday while praising his recently confirmed defense minister Pete Hegsetth. After landing at Andrews’s joint base that night, he confirmed that he had signed an executive command regarding the iron dome on the plane.
“Pete Hegsetth, who will be great by the way … I think he’ll be fantastic,” Trump said at that event. “I know him very well. I think he’ll be fantastic.”
“He is what we need, to immediately start the construction of a top shield for the Rocket Defense Defense of the Iron Dome, which will be able to protect Americans.”

The president added that Americans “protect other countries, but we do not protect each other.” Trump also headed that President Ronald Reagan was interested in the system during the Cold War, but the Americans “had no technology”.
“And now we have phenomenal technology. You see it with Israel,” Trump continued. “So I think the United States are entitled to that. And everything will be done right here in the USA 100%.”
“Let’s ensure that we have the most deadly combat force in the world.”
On Monday, State Department said that the future iron dome was one of many Hegsets priorities.

“Other areas that will study the secretary to include the re-establishment of the troops ejected due to the mandate of the Coid-19 vaccination and the development of the anti-aircraft of the Iron Dome for the United States,” the statement said.
This is not Trump’s first mention of the Iron Dome on the general commander of the inaugural ball on January 20th. Trump said the project was on his radar.
“We also do the iron dome all made in America,” Trump said. “We’ll have a nice iron dome.”
The Republican leader also referred to the plan on the trace of the 2024 campaign.

“With the next term we will build a large iron dome over our country,” Trump said during a West Palm Beach event June 14 “We deserved a dome … It’s a rocket defense shield, and everything will be done in America.”
