10 Big Ways to Make America Great Again in 2025

Here is my wish list for the incoming Trump administration make America healthy, prosperous and great again in 2025.
1. Cut job-killing regulations
The regulatory state is a A $2 trillion tax on the American economy. We all want worker safety, a clean environment and consumer protection, but in too many cases the costs of regulation far outweigh the social benefits. President-elect Donald Trump has promised to cut 10 rules for every new rule. Just do it, Mr. President.
2. Make Trump’s tax cuts permanent
As JFK, Ronald Reagan and others have proven throughout history, lower tax rates lead to more growth, more investment and more jobs. Trump’s tax cuts meant that a typical family of four earning $75,000 a year saw their tax bill cut in half — a benefit estimated at more than $2,000. And the corporate tax rate dropped from 35% — the highest in the world — to 21%, bringing jobs and capital to America. Trump has promised to make all those tax cuts permanent. Why? Because they worked almost exactly as we expected.

3. Replace welfare with work
Growth will require more working-age Americans to come off welfare and into employment. Welfare — which includes cash assistance, public housing, food stamps, disability benefits, unemployment benefits and Medicaid — should be a support, not a handout.
4. Use America’s rich natural resources
America has more than $50 trillion in natural resources that are accessible with existing drilling and mining technologies. This is a vast storehouse of wealth far surpassing that which any other nation has been endowed with. We can use royalty and lease payments to reduce our national debt and create hundreds of thousands of jobs in the process.
5. Reduce medical costs by requiring transparency in health care prices
One of the many ways to lower health care costs for consumers (and taxpayers, who pay half the cost) is to require hospitals, pharmacies, doctors and health clinics to list the prices of what they charge. The Committee to Unleash Prosperity estimates that health care costs could be reduced by $1 trillion to $2 trillion, without reducing the quality of care, by allowing consumers to shop online for the best price — just as we do when we buy groceries, a home or a car. This will encourage free market competition and lower prices.
6. Make it possible for all families to choose a school
Test scores in America are plummeting. Children graduate from high school – if they graduate at all – without even being able to read a diploma. America is no longer in the top 10 in many measures of academic achievement.
A child can get a better education at half price in the Catholic school system and in many charters.
Trump has supported universal school choice for all children regardless of income, ethnicity or race. This is the civil rights issue of our time.
7. Implement a pro-American immigration policy
Trump is committed securing our border, but we also need legal immigrants through a merit-based immigration system. This visa system would select immigrants based on their skills, talents, investment capital, English language skills and education level. All these characteristics indicate success in America.

8. Bring America’s great cities to life
Our once great cities in America – from New York to Chicago to Detroit to San Francisco to Seattle – have begun to look like war zones. Crime broke out. Businesses, people and capital are fleeing, leaving the poorest Americans — mostly minorities — stranded with tragically limited options beyond working at Walmart or McDonald’s for minimum wage. As of 2020, our big cities have lost almost a million inhabitants. And tens of thousands of companies.
Trump wants to revitalize our cities and abandoned rural areas through deregulation, tax rate cuts, zoning policy changes and infrastructure investments.
9. Withdraw the US from the Paris Agreement on climate change and other agreements against America
We must end America’s participation in the globalist deals that hurt America the most. That includes the Paris climate agreement — an agreement that most other nations have failed to meet, but which places a heavy burden on American companies and workers. Trump has also promised to end global taxation — such as Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s global minimum tax. Do we even need the United Nations?

10. At the end, drain the swamp
There’s a reason three of the five richest counties in America are in or around Washington, DC Washington is getting rich at the expense of the rest of us. Less than 10% of overpaid federal workers (of which there are more than 2 million) work full-time in the office even though COVID-19 ended three years ago. These are swamp employees who often get paid $150,000 or more a year. Fire them if they don’t show up. And move federal agencies to other cities.
Admittedly, these are bold aspirations for economic transformation towards freedom and free enterprise. But the only person who can do that is Trump.
