The interview was done the day after Trump signed “Maintenance of men from female sport” Executive last month.

“Don’t tell me that these are the rights of female sports,” Said Rapinoe. “It’s completely unfair to say it. I think it’s simply cruel. You know, if you remove it all, it’s just kind of cruel and destroyed. This is not a problem, and you won’t be able to order the trans people out of existence.”
“We just went through a very long period for ten years really had to fight just to get to the basic, like, equal rights and undiscuseing behavior, and when people only stop women’s sports. I think we are somehow somehow at that moment.”
Executive command requires subjects receiving federal funding to align the title IX, which Trump’s administration changed last month to recognize protection based on biological sex – canceling former prescribe of former President Joe Biden 2024.

On Monday, Rapinoe’s interview concluded, urging other athletes to use their platforms to speak.
“There are so many ways that we can grow and the type of codification of permanent changes,” she said. “And I always encourage players especially to be involved and use their voice. The players are, in fact, always the most powerful people in sports.”
