Hollywood shuts down as Palisades Fire rages: Critics Choice delayed, ‘The Price is Right’ filming canceled
The Critics Choice Awards have been postponed for two weeks due to raging forest fires via Los Angeles.
The show was scheduled for this Sunday at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica and has now been rescheduled for Sunday, January 26, Fox News Digital has learned.
“This unfolding tragedy has already deeply affected our community,” CCA Chief Executive Officer Joey Berlin said in a statement shared by Fox News Digital. “All our thoughts and prayers are with those battling the devastating fires and with all those affected.”
Organizers told Fox News Digital: “The postponed event will remain at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, and will be broadcast live on E! and around the world. It will also be available on Peacock the following day.”

“The Price is Right,” hosted by Drew Carey and filming in Glendale near the evacuation area, has paused filming on the long-running game show, according to Deadline.
Late night shows “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “After Midnight” also canceled performances for Wednesday.
Both are far from the evacuation zone, but they also have live audiences for their shows who might drive through unsafe areas to come to the show.

The premieres of Jennifer Lopez’s “Unstoppable” and Blumhouse’s “Wolf Man” were also canceled on Tuesday night.
“Tonight’s premiere of the movie ‘The Wolf Man‘ was canceled due to sensitivities surrounding the worsening weather situation in LA and related evacuations,” Universal told Deadline.

Amazon Studios told Fox News Digital: “In light of today’s safety concerns surrounding increased wind activity and wildfires in Los Angeles, we regret to inform you that we are canceling tonight’s premiere of the film ‘The Unstoppable.'”

The premieres of “A Better Man” and Max’s series “The Pitt” have also been canceled for Wednesday, Variety reported.
Thursday’s premiere of Pamela Anderson’s “The Last Showgirl” was also canceled.

“Due to the hazardous conditions affecting Los Angeles, we are canceling tomorrow’s premiere of ‘A Better Man,'” Paramount told Variety. “Our thoughts are with those affected by the devastating wildfires resulting from these conditions and we encourage everyone to stay safe and follow the instructions and orders of local officials and government agencies.”

Universal Studios closed its theme park on Wednesday, as well as the lower end, halting production on “Hacks,” “Happy’s Place,” “Loot,” “Suits LA” and “Ted,” according to Deadline.

thousands of people, including celebrities like Mark Hamill, were forced to evacuate near Pacific Palisades as the fire continued to burn. Many lost their homes, including Sandra Lee and Cameron Mathison.
