Marc Marquez wins Argentina MotoP for maintaining the perfect start | Moto Sports News

The six-time worldwide champion of MOTOTP extends his undefeated 2025 ride.
Ducati’s Red Hot Marc Marquez won the Grand Prix Argentina after he found his brother Alex from Smelini for most of the race, because the couple ended up in the first two once again, while Franco Morbidelli VR46 Racing was third.
As with the Grand Prix, which opens the season in Thailand, Marc with a half-sitter had another perfect weekend after winning Saturday’s Sprint, to stay at the top of the MotoTP Riders Championship with a lead of 16 points over Alex.
Upon returning to Argentina for the first time since 2019, Marc almost untouchabled one mistake that allowed Alex to move upwards before the older brother and sister ruthlessly grabbed first place and never looked back.
MotoTP did not have two brothers who ended up at the first and second 76 years, but the Marquez brothers achieved a feat twice within two weeks.
The 32-year record of their 90-year record in all classes equalized with the late big angel Nieto, and the Spaniards wore a racing wreath with the words “Gracias Angel”, pointing out to heaven.
“Super happy to equalize Angel Nieto and this victory is for him and his family because he was AS. Super important for the Spanish motorcycle world … He is pleased to equate him,” Marc said.
“Today’s confidence was not great with the rear, I had some problems there. I saw Alex push, he controlled the race.
“I said,” Ok, P2 will be fine today. “But in the end I started to feel better and better … and then with a used tire it was better. It’s hard to attack your brother.”
Twice the champion of MotoPSco Bagnaia finished fourth place, and the Italian is already 31 points behind his new teammate Marc Marquez.
Fabio di Giannantonio finished fifth place for VR46 Racing.
The next event in the season 22 rounds is American MotoGP in Austin in Texas from March 28 to 30.
