Kolkat Knight Riders was a big shot because the star Speedster Umbra Malik was excluded from the upcoming Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) due to injury. Malik shot Knight Riders in Kolkat for INR 75 lakh on the IPL 2025 mega auction last year.
After Jammu and Kashmir Speedster UMRAN Malik was excluded from the coming season due to an indefinite injury, KKr brought Chetan Sakariya with his left hands as Umbrana replacement for the upcoming IPL 2025 season.

In the meantime, IPL has confirmed that Chetan Sakariya has reported to the KKR defense champions as the replacement of Umbrass for the upcoming tournament, starting on March 22 in Calcutta. Sakariya was part of the Kolkat team Knight Riders during the 2024 title campaign, but did not get the opportunity to play in any matches. Despite going to the IPL 2025 auction, the defenders have now returned him as Malik’s replacement.

Pacer from the left hand played 19 IPL matches during three seasons, picking up 20 Wickket with an economic rate of 8.43. He started his IPL trip with Rajasthan Royals before joining Delhi Capitals 2022, and is now part of Kolkat Knight Riders.
Sakariya could enter Spencer Johnson as the KKR KKR option for the left hand. With Malik to the side, KKR is now missing an Indian fast bowlers who would cover for Anrich Nortje injuries.
