Aaron Ramsey’s heart battle with injuries again saw him withdraw from Wales – this time just hours before he needed to return to Craig Bellamy for 26 players for the upcoming qualifications against Kazakhstan and North Macedonia.

“As much as this World Cup truly wished, it must be step by step. Kazakhstan is the most important thing. They changed their manager in January, and now they have a temporary manager. I’m not sure what it means in the international plan, but I suppose he will be a manager for these games.
“It’s a difficult group. They all create their different scenarios and different problems. But I would love to believe that we are constantly improving. Because of that I am excited and hope that we will eventually get the outcome we all want.”
