Creator Classic at TPC Sawgrass: What is it, who is involved in front of the players and how good are the Golfers? | Golf news

In an era where influences on social media are more prominent than ever, golfers – all levels and abilities – are constantly looking for ways to improve their game.
The new Val YouTubers currently arise between amateur and professional golf, but how good are these influencers golfers and can I ever mix with professionals on a PGA tour?
PGA Tour has entered the market by launching the Creator Classic series, a seasonal set of events with fan favorites on YouTube golfers and some of the biggest creative content in sports.
We looked more closely at the rise of YouTube Golfer, the levels they reached and what it could mean for a professional game that goes ahead …
Rise ‘Influencer Golf’
YouTube was previously home of a limited number of ‘Golf Influencers’, and Rick Shiels and Peter Finch were among the first to make their names with content on that platform.
These creatives bring a relative touch of play and a different approach to content, ranging from a series of challenges and tricks of footage to viral videos to younger audiences in social media.
At a time when you look at the figures of traditional tournaments, they decline in many parts of the world, despite more people who play golf than ever before, creators help the Golf growth in ways never seen before.
Bryan Bros, Fat Perez of Bob, Sports, Gabby Golf Girl, Roger Steele, Grant Horvat, Kyle Berksshire, Tisha Alyn and Soly from No position will be among those involved in Creator Classic on TPC Sawgrass on March 12th.
Have you ever played on professional events before?
Both Shiels and Finch have previously competed in open qualifications to try to secure their outdoor places, where – despite the high expectations and good form they have entered the event – they failed to progress in the final qualifications.
Shiels managed to shoot only 81 at Caldy Golf Club, and Finch scored 83 in Hesketh, leaving a long way from the necessary results, although the results could suggest that they were not quite ready to compete at that level.
Bryan Bros played on a PGA tour, including together, although Wesley Bryan – a former winner of RBC Heritage 2017 – had no full status since 2022, but is currently within the world’s best 250.
Wesley defeated similar Bryson Dechambeau and Shane Lowry – who have both won big titles – winning that week in Hilton Head. Who knows, can we see him enjoying more success of the PGA Tour in the years to come?
Who else is worth knowing?
America is the home of a group called Good Good, which has 1.7 million subscribers on YouTube. The group transmits videos of Funny Challenge and plays play game against it.
Probably the best two players from the group are Garret Clarke and Brad Dalka, however, the channel fans would give a special Vik Matt Scharf for some of the most prominent holes in the one who has ever seen YouTube.
He had previously competed at the Masters and US Open after finishing the winner in the 2016 American amateur, while Clarke regularly shoots on a camera under the camera on his channel.
The previous member of the Good Good, who has stepped down to the concentration of his own channel is Grant Horvat, who left Group 2022, but since leaving he has created his own legacy in the golf world.
Horvat is with some of the best golfers in the world, with Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson on his channel. It is indisputable that Grant is one of the most influential figures in the world of internet golf, but this week we will see how good he is when he participates in the Creator’s classics.
From a professional game, it is difficult to ignore the growing Dechabbeau profile because at the same time he created incredible content and played great golf. Last year’s winner of the US Open provided excellent content with ‘Break 50 episodes’ – in which they played John Daly and Donald Trump among his special guests!
Who won the Creator’s inaugural classic?
Luke Kwon, a member of the Good Good before leaving the group to continue his career in a professional golf and concentrated on his personal YouTube channel, won last August in the playoffs inaugural competition.
He suffered a clutch on the last greenery to bring home the first title, in a year in which he also saw him impress along with professionals when he appeared on an Asian tour at the Black Mountain Championship.
Kwon had 67 in Thailand, making five birds to move within three of the leadership, then shot in the second round 70 to stay in the conflict and set off on the weekend. The fairy tale win was not achieved, as Kwon ended the week in equalization-65.
