Macron says France is a ‘loyal’ American ally while Trump throws suspicion of NATO solidarity

French President Emmanuel Macron said that France was “loyal and faithful ally” after US President Donald Trump expressed suspicion that NATO would come to the US defense if attacked. NATO’s defense guarantee in Article 5 was invited after the attack on September 11 against the USA.
