RFK Jr. ‘wrong’ about vaccinations, says GOP senator


Sen. Bill CassidyR-La., said during an interview with “Fox News Sunday” that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. he is “wrong” about vaccination.

President-elect Donald Trump he chose Kennedy to be Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Cassidy, a gastroenterologist currently serving Louisianans in the Senate, is the new chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.

The senator, who noted that he is looking forward to meeting with Kennedy in the coming week, said that he agrees with Kennedy on some issues, but disagrees on others.

While Cassidy described ultra-processed foods as a problem, he said Kennedy is “wrong” about vaccinations.

Fox News Digital asked if Cassidy planned to vote against Kennedy’s confirmation for HHS because disagreement about vaccines.

“Cassidy does not discuss his votes before meetings with the nominees and the Senate process,” a Cassidy spokesman said in a statement. “Cassidy explained that these are topics he wants to discuss with RFK Jr at his meeting this week and he looks forward to a good dialogue with him.”

Reached by Fox News Digital on Monday, Kennedy declined to comment on Cassidy’s claim that she was “wrong” on the vaccine issue.

But Kennedy has previously said he doesn’t want to prevent people from getting vaccines.

“Bottom line: I’m not going to take away anyone’s vaccines. I just want to make sure every American knows the safety profile, risk profile and effectiveness of each vaccine. That’s it,” he tweeted last year.
