“Alhamdulillah for all”: Mushfiquir Rahim announces a pension from the Krixket

Mushfiquir RahimThe most experienced and experienced Wickekecker’s Batter Bangladesh announced retirement from a one-day crunch (ODO) crisis. This decision comes on the heels of a disappointing Bangladesh campaign in ICC Champions Trophy 2025where the team failed to secure any victory.

He announced Mushfiquiqui on his official Facebook page, expressing his gratitude to his family, friends and fans for their unwavering support during his famous 19-year career in format. He admitted that in the last few weeks it was particularly challenging, hinting that these difficulties may have influenced his decision to withdraw from the Krixket.
“I announce my vacation from ODO Format from today. Alhamdulillah for all. Although our achievements may have been limited to a global level, one thing is for sure: whenever I stepped on the field for my country, I gave more than 100% dedication and honesty” wrote Mushfiqui.
“The last few weeks have been very challenging for me and I realized that it was my destiny. Allah says in the Qur’an:” Wa Tu’zezzz Man Tasha ‘Wa Tu’zhil Man Tasha’ ” [And He honours whom He wills, and He disgraces whom He wills](3:26). May Allah have forgiven us and provided us with righteous iman to all, “ He added.
“Finally, I would like to deeply thank my family, friends and my fans for whom I have played a cricket for the last 19 years.

Rahim’s career
Mushfiquiquur is considered to be one of the largest crickets that Bangladesh ever produced. He made his debut against Zimbabwe in August 2006 and became the most notable Bangladesh player in the format, which contained in 274 matches. Through his career, he has collected an impressive 7795 running on an average of 36.42, including nine centuries and 49 half a century. His highest result in Odis was 144, which showed his ability to dominate opposition bowlers.
As a guard, Mushfiqui was equally impressive, took 243 catch and influenced the 56 pumps behind the stitch. He is one of only five Wicketkeeper who has played more than 250 Zada, which is a testimony to his longevity and consistency in sports. His seven centuries as a guardian ranked fourth place among all the Wicketkeepers, behind the legend of a crislet Kumar Sangakkara, Adam Gilchrist and MS Dhoni.
