Manchester United on Thursday is a trip to San Sebastian for its Europa League last 16 first legs with Real Sociedad.
After being kicked out of Fa Cup on Sunday afternoonRed devils now know that Europa League is their only potential source of silver accessories this season. However, foreign Ruben amomes are still in crisis and represent small chances to win in the second most prestigious competition of the continent, unless they can radically improve their shape.
Despite their dark campaign, United is the only undefeated side that remained in the Europa League, won five and pulled out three of its league phases, as they qualified directly in the last 16. Real Sociedad were far less convincing, lost three of their eight meetings while they came across thirteen -ranked endings.
La Real ended the difficult end last week because they lost Real Sociedad at home at Copa del Rey before they were Barcelona in La Liga, hammer 4-0. The early red card saw them throwing a toweling towel, and improvements were needed on Thursday.

Imanol Alguacil will be pleased to see Nayef Aguerd, Sheraldo Becker and the Kubo Takefus from her domestic suspensions on Thursday. The latter is a particularly integral part of the success of the La Real last third and will cause united problems.

In better news, Patrick Dorgu will return from a domestic suspension and a feature against La Real, while Toby Collyer returned to training and is part of the passenger party.

The Red Devils often relied on the individual Genius of Bruno Fernandes this season, and the Portuguese could be the pace and producer of the difference in San Sebastian. If his teammates can play as many as half of his level, United has a chance to avoid defeat.
However, if one side will overshadow the first leg, it will probably be La Real. Despite the defeats backwards, they are generally difficult opposition to break down and are likely to frustrate Amorim’s wrong line. At the other end of the terrain, they are capable of hurting the defense without Maguira.
