Diego is a name that still remembers in German football.
The Brazilian Playing Manufacturer took the Bundesliga when he arrived at Werder Bremen from Porto in the summer of 2006 at the age of only 21.
Return home, he was educated at the same Santos Academy, which produced Pele and will soon throw out Neymar. The natural first position in Europe was Portugal, but Germany Diego found his home from home.
That first season in Bremen was amazed. The club could not completely repeat their 2003/04 Bundesliga title, but Diego was impossible, scored 27 goals and assists in 33 league appearances.
Diego has named the player of the 2006/07 season by the German player union, the award more recently Robert Lewandowski, Marco Reus, Kevin de Bruyne and Jude Bellingham.
His long -term strike with more than 60 meters against Aachen also won the German goal in 2007. He even managed to play his journey to the Brazilian band after a two -year absence and was part of the Copa American winning team for the second time in his career.
In the celebration of his career and those monumental campaigns with the Bremen, the Cult Kit Hummel brand presented a new legend jersey, creating a shirt inspired by the clubs of the club 2006/07.
Green and white halved T -shirt bears Dieg’s name and number ten on the back, in which the famous diamond ridge of Bremens contained in the center. The Hummel logo sits on the right, and a inscription appears on the left side that pays tribute to the Brazilian maestro.
“Dieg’s influence on Werder Bremen is timeless and we are excited to celebrate his legacy with this special jersey,” said Morten Lund, director of Marketing Hummel.
“Inspired by his first season at the club, the design reflects the unforgettable moments he gave fans – moments of glow, creativity and passion. The privilege is to be part of this historic farewell, and we are proud to have worked with Werder Bremen in giving fans to last permanent honors one of the greatest players of the club of all time.
Now 40 pension, Diego remained with Bremen until 2009 when Juventus paid big money to take him to Serie A., but Swifty returned to the Bundesliga, spent four years in Wolfsburg, and was later for Atletico Madrid and Fenerbahce, before he wrapped his career with six years in Flamengo.
