David Marcus: This Lent, Loud and Proud American Christianity returns

According to a Survey of the Pew Research Centera recent decline in the number of Americans identifying as Christian He equalized significantly, with about six in ten now, professing that Jesus was God. When we get into Lent, it is worth thinking about how this change happened and how we can nurture a trend.
SheetThe period between the ashes of Wednesday and Easter is time for Christians to consider their sinful and to make victims of fasting and charity to experience themselves in anticipation of the glory of the resurrection of Christ, but this year, more than ever, it is also an opportunity to reinforce and increase faith.
The new survey reveals that the fall of Christianity in America ‘equalized’
One key initiator of this stabilization of Christianity in America is young people. After decades of the steep fall of the Christian identity and attendance of the Church from one generation to the other, Pew now shows that they were born between 2000 and 2006. Equally religiously as born in the 90s, which is a welcome shift.
More anecdotal, throughout the nation, Christians say that the congregations have grown and that most of it is reduced to young believers and young Christian families, many of whom are actually preferred by Orthodox such as blankets for women or Latin masses.
It turns out that a cool priest who plays guitar and presides over ceremonies is an obligation to be a misconception.
Four ways to observe the Lent season
But why? What returns so many people to the fold? One of the key reasons is that American Christianity became increasingly louder and public with every year.
Throughout this century, Christianity, like white or straight, or man, observed as part of the dominant privileged culture and called on to sit in the shadow, while “marginalized”, got the opportunity to absorb a sun.
But in recent years, prayer applications such as Hallow and Litany of the Christian theme programs on our screens have returned Christ’s message to public light. In the meantime, we see more and more calls for prayer at school and publishing the Ten Commandments in Public Areas.

With the growing celebration of loud and proud American Christianity, younger generations may seek a deeper sense of their life than it is offered at the time, X or through AI.
We know that technology has made these young Americans more isolated, more depressed and far less physically social. The church can solve all these problems. In fact, it’s a kind of church.
And this is not only a technology that has a dehumanizing effect on our youth, but in some ways, it is also Wockeness, its own religion, which requires to identify themselves, not as children of God, but as a hairy of the physical identity marker that all are set in the nesting hierarchy.
American Christianity has stopped bleeding and it is a very good start, but in order to bring our nation to the High trust society we used to be, in order to cure our great divisions, faith must now grow.
For those who accept Christ, there is only one identity from which everyone else passes, and this is the follower of Jesus and the acceptance of his deity.
In a letter to Saint Paul to the Philippians, he invites us to: “May moderation be known to all people, the Lord is on hand.” It is a curious, almost contradictory command. After all, how can one show one’s moderate? He seems to brag about one’s humility.
But public representations of faith do not have to be unusual. All Christians are called to spread good news, which can mean inviting friends to church, carrying a cross or even praying before a meal at a public restaurant.

America has a long history of religious revival, and although it is probably too early to say that we are experiencing it now, it is based on it every day.
The opportunity for Christians is this loan and forward, it is to declare that US values, born of Western values, are actually Christian values, which has previously called it Christian.
The vessel is first and foremost an opportunity to consider our worst mistakes, but not with self -pity, but with the dedication to do better, we spend more of our lives in the service of God and less in the service of ourselves.

It is my prayer, as I ask you, my brothers and sisters for forgiveness and I wish you all a meaningful spiritual journey to Easter morning when it rises.
