Welbeck heroics Extter-Times send seagulls while Gordon sees red
Brighton secured a dramatic additional 2-1 victory over Newcastle in St. James, to progress to the quarterfinals FA Cup.
The beautifully made end of Danny Welbeck in the 114th minute sealed the seagull victory, punishing Newcastle for missing the chances of an incredibly entertaining competition.
The match went to the start of the high Tempo, on both sides, they were eager to put in a driver’s seat.
Newcastle almost took the lead early when Adam Webster blocked Alexander Isak’s header and sailed his effort.
Brighton responded with his chance, while Joao Pedro got into the frame, but Dan Burn stopped him.
The breakthrough came in the 22nd minute when the former Newcastle wing player Yankuba Minteh clumsily crashed Tino Livramentto within the penalty area.

Brighton also had a chance, and Joao Pedro forced a strong salvation from Dubravko.
The game turned dramatically in the 83rd minute when Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon sent a moment madness.
After a decision to the offside, the wing player pushed Jana Paul Van Hecke into the head, which caused the referee to leve her straight red card.

Brighton looked to take advantage of their numerical advantage, but releasing Tariq Lamptey in a stopping time for another offense that can be explained once again he equalized the playground.
With a score of 1-1 after 90 minutes, there was additional time on the cards. Both teams seemed to be broken, but they continued to fight for the winning goal.
