Simon Cowell wants to see artists protected against AI.
Judge “American’s Got Talent” wrote a comment in Daily Mail This week, criticizing potential changes in British law that would allow companies to use any Internet Material Material for the AI model, unless explicitly excluded.
Cowell warned that the artist’s life threatened to “delete”.
“The thought that anyone would believe he had the right to blindly give up the creative ideas of this country – for nothing – it’s just wrong,” he said. “I passionately care about the personal creativity of people – and Ai should not be able to steal the talent of those people who created magic in the first place.”

In 2023. Cowell told Fox News Digital that he was “Not a fan” ai.
He explained why artists like the Queen, David Bowie and Elton John have a lasting, authentic influence, noticing that “their songs, I think, are as good as they did today. So, everything that is fake is a bit of a problem for me.”

“I stood on behalf of the young artists because they literally represent our future. The proposal considered by the British government would devastate our creative community, especially the emerging artists and those who tend to career in art.”
“Ai should not be able to steal the talent of those people who created magic in the first place.”
He continued, “This would allow us to take our music – and every other artwork ever made in the UK – without approval or fee. And what? To help with powerful foreign technological companies to make money. It is only wrong and unnecessary.”
AND “Tiny Dancer” singer Admitted that the generative AI “offers incredible options for all of us,” but wanted to ensure protection for all creatives.

Earlier this week, Over 1,000 musicians have joined To release a quiet album entitled “Is that what we want?” in protest due to the proposed amendments to the law.
In addition to contributing to British artists, including Kate Bush, Annie Lennox, Cat Stevens and Damon Albar, the album consists of 12 songs of empty studios and performance spaces “to symbolize what we expect to happen if Government proposals go by,” Composer and AI programmer Ed Newton-Rex said.

“It’s a mix of artists for whom everyone has heard and, you know, and many musicians who are not household names,” he added. “And I think that’s really important because this question will affect all of us.”
