The banned leader of the banned Kurdish militant group PKK called on Thursday that the group laid their hands and dissolved, in a letter read by the Turkish Pro-Kurdish DEM party. Announcement that was understood as a shock and could be the beginning of an end to a vicious conflict. Öcalan spent the last 26 years imprisoned, and his terms of prison and liberation were a poster cause of PKK supporters.
