Women’s Basketball Team Loses Games for No Traveling in LA During Wild Fire

Women’s Northwestern Basketball team will have to take two games on its schedule after not traveling to Los Angeles during devastating fires in January.
Big Ten conference announced on Wednesday Northwestern games against UCLA on January 12 and USC will not be moved on January 15th and instead will be counted as losses for Wildcats and victories for programs based in southern California.

Athletics director Northwestern, Mark Jackson, posted a statement that supports his team’s decision not to travel during the fire and accepted the Big Ten decision.
“Northwestern Athletics accepts a decision at a Big Ten conference to strictly apply conference subcontinations as written, in issuing the seizure for missed competitions of women’s basketball basketball after a team that he does not travel to Los Angeles during tragic wild fires in southern California,” Jackson wrote, “Jackson wrote,” Jackson wrote, “Jackson wrote,” by on3.

Ucla and USC, led by a phenomenon Juju WatkinsAre there two winning teams at the conference this season this season. USC is first in BIG TEN with a conference record of 15-1 because it is UCLA in the second with 14-1.
Meanwhile, Northwestern sits in 15th place with a conference record 2-13, and fights Purdue, Rutgers and Penn State for the last place in the Big 10 tournament.

The fires influenced more sports events in the Los Angeles and Anaheim area during the month of January, including the playoff game between Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings, and Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers NBA games.
City local sports teams have donated more than $ 8 million to support fire victims. These teams were Anaheim Ducks, Angel City FC, Lafc, La Galaxy, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles LakersLos Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Sparks.
