Rugby League in Las Vegas: How Hollie-Mae Dodd ‘Inside Knowledge’ can help England women shock Australia Jillaros | Rugby league news

England against Australia is always a fierce rivalry, but Hollie-Mae Dodd is ready to reach the second level when two sides of the conflict in Las Vegas, live on Sky Sports.

Dodd is one of the names of women’s stars in England who moves to son City to participate in the revolutionary weekend of the Rugby League Action at Allegiant Stadium, with two competitions in NRL, Wigan Warriors VS Warrington Wolves in the Super League and International Conflict between two women’s clothing (Sunday 2 March, 2:00 UK Time).

While England and Australia face it, DDD is in a unique position among the English team because of its competition full-time at WNRL for Canberra Raiders of 2023 and regularly plays members of the world no. 1 Jillaroos.

England was increasingly approaching the competition with the southern hemispheres, dating from a semi -final appearance against the new Zealand World Cup in the 2022 Rugby League, and Dodd Vegas saw as the perfect test for the best stars in the northern hemisphere to see where they are currently.

“I played against some girls currently playing for Australia, obviously last year and a year before that,” Dodd Sky Sports said.

“So, I’ll have that little insight into the knowledge of how players perform there. But I know the girls here, they have been training hard. And obviously, they are currently in the preseason for the Super League.

“And they train hard at their clubs. We all just hang out with our little knowledge we have from our clubs and, you know, we combine it.

“Some girls in this team didn’t really play against Australia. I never played against them. And I know some Australians didn’t really play against England.

“So it will be a really good test for yourself and see where we are. It was disappointing to lose that match against the new Zealand (at the World Cup), because I thought it was such a good competition.

“Going to America and playing against Australia will be a really good experience to see where we are.”

Viva growth of female rugby league

While England will embark on the competition, wanting to cause upset and play its best rugby, it is not lost to Dodd what a significant and seminar moment will be for sports. Eyes are expected to be massive at a women’s match, and the crowd of bumper packed the Allegiant Stadium for the Rugby League Action Day.

“Oh, it’s huge,” Dodd added. “We have never played in front of such a crowd before.

“Obviously, there are several games before, so we hope she will stay and watch a woman’s game. It will be so good for the development of the game there and here, to be honest.

“You had men’s games before and after, so it allows people to stay around to watch women’s game. Some of us have never played before these people, so it will be really exciting.

“We have been looking forward to it for a long time and it allows us to see where we are and we have received this preparation. And I think that obviously playing against Australia is such a big step for us.

“The last game we played was against Wales and we have to test a little more. I think playing in front of such a big crowd and I hope it will make us well there, we will test us where we are.

What games are there in Las Vegas?

“The girls are very devoted and do it because they love sports. So, I mean, obviously, the passion they have for sports allows us to go and try to compete with them.”

“Obviously, we know how big the opportunity is in a minute, but I think we just try to focus on ourselves.

“As soon as the girls go there and see how big the stadium is and they hear many and such things, I think there will be a few nerves in the air, yes, definitely.”
