Brydon Cars officially excluded from the 2025 champion trophy; England announces a replacement
In recent development, England was hit by a hit in the Trophy 2025 campaign as they lost a key player from the injury. The Brydon Carsa of the Fast Bowler was excluded from the rest of the event due to the injury of the toes. The Cricket of England and Wales (ECB) also called his replacement.

The Cricket of England and Wales Committee confirmed that Brydon Cars would return to London for a further medical assessment after being excluded from the champion trophy due to a toe injury. This injury concern began during the recent white ball series in India, forcing him to miss the last two ODO.
“The English Fast Bowling of Brydon Carse will return home this week to continue his recovery from the toes injury. Durham and England Bowling All-Rounder Brydon Carse has been excluded to the end of ICC champion trophy for injury to the left toe.” ECB wrote in a statement.
“Carse suffered an injury in Lahore on Saturday in Lahore during the initial match of B-Gripe B against Australia. Leicestershire-Pinner Repan Ahmed was appointed his replacement and will join the teams in Pakistan later this week,” added the committee.
Carse replaced Rehan Ahmed in the Champion Trophy Department
To replace Carse, England added a 20-year-old Spinner leg of Rehana Ahmed to her composition. However, Ahmed will not arrive in Pakistan on time for a key match against Afghanistan on February 26.
Ahmed, who last played almost 15 months ago, took 10 Hickekets at six ODU, including a four-legged trip against Ireland. He also made titles in 2022, when he asked at his test debut in Pakistan to be five lean in Pakistan.
