Josh Padley says Shakur Stevenson Fight means that he can withdraw from the day of work as an electrician | Boxing news

So far, the world knows the story of Joshu Padley. Electrician Doncaster, who left on Saturday out of installing solar panels to combat the pound star for the kilograms of Shakur Stevenson on Saturday.
Padley became one of the stories of the week in Saudi Arabia when he answered the late invitation to step as a replacement for Floyd Schofield to face Stevenson after the US challenger got sick.
He made the WBC lightweight world champion working in nine rounds, before he finally succumbed to a series of vicious shots of the body, he jumped abruptly on stock and no doubt earned further options for the season in Riyadh.
With a life -changing money comes the opportunity to turn his full attention to his career in the ring.
“Fortunately, I’m in a position now where I can probably pack it and devote my life to boxing,” Padley told Sky Sports. “I’m grateful for that, thank you Turks for giving me that opportunity, we’ll come back.
“There’s more. That was four days. Eight weeks of camp and I know I’ll be better.”
Stevenson tried to intimidate Padley during fiery management of weighing on Friday, but was forced to be patient in front of a dirty and calculated performance from Yorkshireman next night.
His class eventually said as he wore Padley’s defense, but not before the 29-year-old won countless new fans through the willingness to stand and trade with the champion.
“I wish I had a victory and it would be a story for him, but I didn’t get it,” Padley said.
“I tried the hardest, without regret, I gave everything I could, but the body was not conditioned to record them.”
Padley’s opportunity arose after September, a unanimous victory for the decision over Mark Chamberlain, who was a favorite of Turki Alalshikh.
In the meantime, the victory raised Stevenson’s record at 23-0 as he followed the victory by inviting Gervont ‘Tank’ Davis in what would serve as one of the biggest fights in boxing.
“He was good, there were cases when I thought he wasn’t out of range and he wasn’t in Domet,” Padley said. “There are levels in this and he is obviously a few levels above me at the moment.
“I will return to the gym, renew and hope to go back to this level.
“I am proud of myself, I did as much as I could, everyone is proud, without regret. I will come again and fight.”
