In a Message to corporate employeesNiccol said that Starbucks “simplifies our structure, removes layers and multiplication and creates smaller, faster teams.”
“Our intention is to act more effectively, increase responsibility, reduce complexity and encourage better integration,” Niccol wrote. “Everything with the aim of being more focused and capable of affecting the greater impact on our priorities.”
