French surgeon Joël Le Scouarnec is confronted with a court in a historical trial for sexual abuse of children

The biggest trial for sexual abuse of children ever tried in France opens Vannes on Monday in which 74-year-old former surgeon Joël Le Scouarnec faces alleged rape or sexual abuse of 299 patients, most children in his care, in a dozen hospitals and stretch have been more than three decades.
