Pakistan’s versatile Khushdil Shah admitted that he was surprised that he was involved in the Liquid ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan and Dubai. The thirty -year -old admitted his recent bad form and stated that he was not even sure that he had secured a place on the Pakistani team.
Khushdil was Pakistan’s top scorer in their championship trophy match against New Zealand in Karachi on February 19, hitting in no. 7, he played a crucial blow of 69 runs of 49 balls, hitting 10 four and one six. Pakistan suffered a defeat of 60 runs at his tournament opener at the national stadium.

Khushdil Shah admitted that he was surprised by his choice, saying that he did not even know how he had taken him into the team. He added that in the last two years he has been in favor of the selectors.
“I didn’t know how I got in the team because I had been favoring the selectors for two years,” Khushdil said on Wednesday night.
Khushdil made his own debut against Zimbabwe in November 2020. He played only 14 one -day international and has not introduced T20I since October 2023.
He struggled with a stick with a ball in a recent three-series that included New Zealand and South Africa, but was still involved in Pakistan’s playing XI for the champion trophy opener.

“People have been singing my slogans on me for two years. It has become a habit for me. I even say to them, ‘Continue, singing a few more,'”
