The body returned from Gaza is not the mother of Bibasa, says the Israeli army
One of the four bodies returned from Gaza to Israel on Thursday is not hostage by Shiri Bibas, according to Hamas, the Israeli army said.
The news that Shiri Bibas, 33, and her two sons, Ariel and Kfie, who will now have five and two, have started the dead of sorrow in Israel.
Israeli defense forces (IDF) informed the Bibas family that the bodies of her sons were identified after Hamas gave Israel on Thursday.
But the third body was not their mother, IDF says.
Hamas has not yet commented on the claim of Israel.
“During the identification procedure, it was found that the further received body was not that shiri bibas, and no match was found for any other hostage. This is an anonymous, unidentified body,” IDF published on X.
“This is a violation of the greatest seriousness of the Hamas terrorist organization, which under the agreement is obliged to return the four dead hostages. We demand that Hamas return Shiri Home together with all our hostages.”
Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas were at the age of 32, four and nine months when they kidnapped during the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
Children’s father Yarden Bibas, 34, published Hamas on February 1st.
