“I’m just trying to help VMI,” Carroll-Foy-Takoder said and a VMI graduate student.
“Cedric is an African -American. The leadership of the General Assembly is African American. The appointment of your committee and the budget amendments are at risk. You can fix it by giving a four -year extension of the contract,” she said.
Virginia House speaker don Scott, D-Portesmouth and Senate leader L. Louise Lucas, D-Pratesmouth, both are black.
The exchange was tortured by Cline, who said in his letter that “these actions, specifically direct threats [Carroll-Foy] are inappropriate, inappropriate and ethically questionable. “
“These comments related to the race-stroke rude member of the General Assembly and completely in disagreement with the values of our nation-keep the lead in the General Assembly attempt to unnecessarily influence the Committee Decisions in exchange for funding for VMI priorities,” Cline wrote in a letter in the letter received by Fox News Digital.
The source familiar with the situation was told by Fox News Digital that there are other legislators other than Carroll-Foya who have linked races or dei considerations to discuss the contract.
The statement from Clina’s office states that Congressmen’s former member of the legislative body Richmonda is trying to “try to” members of the Committee of the VMI “strong weapons by denying funding … reveal a clear and worrying effort to perform an unnecessary impact on VMI management. “

“The idea that members of the General Assembly will take advantage of their positions of power to intimidate the members of the VMI Committee by conditioning financing at the extension of the supervisor’s contract is not only inappropriate, but is a direct abuse of power,” Cline said in a statement.
