Beijing (Reuters) – The Chinese car manufacturer Saic motor said on Friday that he would work with the Huawei Technology Company in the development of new “globally competitive” smart electric vehicles.
The connection sees another state manufacturer of a car that is betting on partnerships with Huawei, who has appeared as a supplier of smart driving technologies to increase EV sales.
“The strategic cooperation between Saic -ai Huawei will further take advantage of its advantages and promote the Chinese automotive industry to a new level in an intelligent era,” Saic said in a statement.
The contract signed on Friday ensures that the two companies are strategically cooperating in production, management of supply chains and sales services, Saic said in a statement without discovering the marquis of the joint developed line.
The state -owned car manufacturer reported a 20% drop in the total sales of vehicles last year, due to the brutal war and the competition of bruises in the world’s largest car market.
