The Mexican army says she has arrested a key player in the Drugs of Sinalo in the northern town of Culiacán.
José ángel Canobbio, also known as “El Güerito” (Little Blonde), was accused of being the right man Archivaldo Guzmán, one of the sons of the infamous Lord drug Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.
Mexican security forces say the arrest of Canobbio, who they say is in charge of security for Iván Archivaldo Guzmán, a serious blow to Kartel Sinalo.
He was captured only a few hours after the United States added to Kartel Sinalo to their list of foreign terrorist organizations (FTOS), which the move that Trump’s administration says will allow him to fight criminal groups better.
Like the Sinalo cartel, the American State Department determined seven other Latin American criminal groups as FTOS. They are:
- Jalisco New Generation Carte (Cjng)
- Cartel
- A cartel in the northeast
- United cartel
- New Michoacán family
- Too de Aragua
- MS-13
All except the last two groups with headquarters in Mexico, and the Mexican government is under the high pressure of Trump’s administration to enhance its fight against them and the trade of synthetic drugs of the fental they are dealing with.

Earlier this month, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum was able to convince her American colleague to maintain a 25% duties of Mexican imports in the US for a month.
Mexican security forces will hope for the arrest of Canobbio – which in the absence of Chicago will accuse the absence of allegedly smuggling fental in the United States in November – to start in some way to show her commitment to the fight against drug trade.
The indictment accuses Canobbio of being the chief advisor, lieutenant and security chief for Iván Archivaldo Guzmán, one of the sons of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán who took over the running of Cartel Sinalo after their father was in prison.
According to a security expert David Saucedo, Canobbio played a key role in involving the Sinalo cartel in the smartering of fental in the United States.
Mr. Saucedo said to the Mexican radio formula, that he expects to quickly extradite him from now.
