While tourists cheer up erupted by Mount Etna, the Italian authorities warn them
Thousands of tourists in recent weeks have been breaking the Sicili Sicily Padina Mount Etna, pushing roads and interfering with the paths of rescue crews, the Italian authorities said, despite their efforts that people certainly do not stick to the explosive flow of lava.
Mount Etna regularly erupts and has attracted tourists for decades. But the last eruption, which began on February 8, drew so many photographers, mountaineers and nature enthusiasts that she had raised a warning choir and commands from local Italian officials.
Salvo Cocina, Sicily Regional Civil Protection Leader, UA statement On Sunday, she described a “permanent flow” of about 1,000 people, as well as “wild parking at the edges of narrow streets” that created an emergency vehicle.
“With darkness, the risk of falling and sinking in the snow is proportional to the increase in people,” he said.
“Etna gives us a wonderful spectacle: Lava flow reached our territory,” Mayor Fabio Mancuso of Adrano warned His city near the base of the Etna day before. “Many people try to get closer to this natural phenomenon, but it’s extremely dangerous!”
He said that the lion collided with the snow could cause violent explosions when the snow melted quickly, resulting in a high pressure pair that can throw rocks and a lion is a great distance. “Death danger for anyone near the stream!” He said in a post on social networks. “For this reason, I signed the command for banning anyone to get closer to the front of the lava.”
To the ragal, another community on Etna’s slopes, authorities ordered Anyone who will remain at least 500 meters, or almost 550 meters, away from the flow of lava.
But as the authorities have issued orders, people seem to continue to convey images and videos taken from close range of lava flows. Videos Shared by Accuweather showed that people were skiing snowplane, while the lion missed and melted pieces of material collapsed in the distance. In one clip, a silhouette of the visa viewer can be seen on the red lion cascading in the background.
“Some have independently managed to approach certain areas, but local municipalities have now imposed restrictions to prevent access to web locations affected by eruption for safety reasons,” said Giulia Campisi, a spokeswoman for the volcano tour agencies.
Mrs. Campisi told Ue -the eruption affects Etna’s west flank, where fewer tourists know the trails. “To get to the flow of lava in this particularly cold winter,” she said, “you have to walk in deep snow for a long time.”
Go-Etna did not take tourists directly to the lava flows, she said, adding that she adheres to local limitations and security measures. She also stated the danger that happens when a hot lion encounters cold snow.
“In some deeper videos, this can cause currently (and literally explosive) evaporation of snow, resulting in a projection of hot stone, like bullets everywhere,” she said. “Events like these can surprise even experts.”
Stefano Branc, director of the National Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology, called the activity “a typical eruption of the summit”. He added: “Only people who come within a few meters from the flow of lava can be in danger because the heat of the lion can cause small hydromagmatic explosions caused by fast snow melting.”
