“Today, the Wiaa Committee for Controls has been voted to update the organization’s policy in connection with the student of the student-athlete-athlete, when you are respectful of federal directives that only women appointed as women at birth will be allowed to participate in the girls’ competitions,” said Wiaa-CEO of Wiaa- e Stephanie Hauser in the statement. “Working in counseling with a legal advisor, our committee has updated this policy to ensure clarity to our membership because they are working to respect new federal guidelines from the White House.”

The new Wisconsin policy reflects that NCAA, because it still enables biological athletes to participate in maiden practices, but not official competitions.
The state has enabled the participation of transgender athletes in girls’ sports since 2013.
