The bird’s flu vaccine gets a ‘probation’ from USDA, announces the company

A pharmaceutical company in New Jersey received a “conditional license” for a bird flu vaccine for use in chickens.

“When a new strain of HPAI was identified in the United States at the beginning of 2022, our scientists immediately started operating on the update of our previous bird’s flu vaccine,” said Mahesh Kumar, Ph.D. Development in Zoetis in Zoetis, in edition.
For the first time, the company worked on the development of bird flu vaccines in 2001 and 2002 in the middle of an epidemic among flocks in Southeast Asia, Kumar noted.

Jacob Glanville, CEO and President of the Centivax Biotechnology Company in San Francisco, noted that the Zoetis bird flu vaccine is intended for veterinary use on birds of birds.
“This is extremely good news, because the vaccination of our animal population is the best method of suppressing the global outbreak of H5N1 and the protection of the economic interest of farmers,” Fox News Digital told Fox News.
“So far, our method has rejected or killed all the animals on the farm. This is obviously not good enough and it was terribly disturbing agricultural affairs and food supply,” said an expert in infectious diseases. (East)

One limit is that this H5N2 vaccine from Zoetis is “strongly” unconnected “to the circulating strain, Glanville warned.

“This could result in immune escape and survival, but by maintaining the transmission.”
There have been a total of 68 cases of human bird flu, in the US, according to the latest data from US centers for the control and prevention of disease (CDC).
