Hajem Rajab, another Palestinian liberated in his last exchange, Al Jazeera said of inhuman treatment with which he suffered from the arrest of Israeli forces in December 2023, two months after the start of the war.
“The Israelites told us” welcome to hell. “He was indeed hell,” Rajab recalled. “He beat us badly from day one. The beatings were brutal, tough and unbearable.”
According to Nour Odha Al Jazeera, the Palestinians spoke of beating and harassment, even in the last hours before their release.
“The Palestinians released from Israeli captivity are in very poor condition. They have been talking about malnutrition, hunger for the last 15 months, that they have been deprived of even hygiene products, and they are only allowed to take a shower every 10 days,” Odah said.
“Their health is obviously ill for those months of harassment.”
While Abu Radah and Rajab were arrested in recent times, Mohammed El-Halabi, a former World Vision Chief in Gaza, was closed almost nine years before being released on Saturday on Saturday.
“My case was a high case and I was convicted without evidence. They wanted to use me to undermine international aid in Gaza,” said El-Halabi, who was accused by Israel of supporting Hamas, for Al Jazeera.

“Fasting happened every day, and we only had a low quality meal once a day. I had 95 pounds [209 pounds] When I went to jail. I weigh 45 pounds now [100 pounds]. “
