Keyshawn Davis stops Denys Berinchyk with a brutal cracking of the body to become WBO Light World Champion | Boxing news

Keyshawn Davis became the world champion for the first time while knocking out Denys Berinchyk at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York to ask for a WBO light title.
Davis dominated the previously undefeated Berinchyk (19-1), overthrowing Ukrainian in the third round with his body before he did it again in the next period to end the duel.
The victory improved the professional silver medal record in Tokyo at 13-0 (9 KO) and sets potential mega fights with colleagues with gentle world champions Gervont Davis and Vasiliy Lomachenko.
“It was an amazing feeling,” Davis said in the ring after the fight.
“I never have a problem with clumsy fighters. The only thing that was a bit of a problem for me was how he continued to jump and go out, and it was a little faster than I expected.
“But as the rounds went on, I was just more comfortable there, and the fourth round did it to him.”
Despite the poor buildup that included a fight in weighing and accusations of racism from the Davis Camp, the 25-year-old appeared calm and focused on opening bells in New York.
The beautiful left body dropped Berinchyk in the early stages of the third, after which Davis simply played with her sick opponent.
The American started the fourth round with a similar energy, a bloody Berinchyk nose before smiling at his colleague of World Champion Terrence Crawford at Ringside as he was drawing a finish.
There was only a few moments later with a couple of body shots, partially blocked with his right hand, followed by a left that seemed only to graze Berinchyk’s Midriff, but sent him to the canvas.
The businessman himself “began to wave the fight because it became clear that Berinchyk would not make the Count, before he jumped on the ropes to celebrate in front of a delighted crowd.
Despite its relative inexperience, Davis appears that he intends to move straight to unification with his colleague American Davis or with other Ukrainian in Lomachenko.
He said, “Anyone who got ***** to step into the ring and fight against me. Tell them, come on, anyone. There are two champions of 135 pounds that I would like to fight with.
“But if they got the gut to step into the ring with a ‘businessman’, tell them to send me a contract or I will send them one.”
