In an interview with France 24, Iraq’s Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein responded to the plan of US President Donald Trump to “own” Gaza’s belt and move his inhabitants to countries like Egypt and Jordan. “With the right of self -determination of the Palestinian people,” Hussein said. “Move them, to convey the Palestinian people from their own country in somewhere else” (…) “is not acceptable.” Turning relations with neighboring countries, top Iraqi diplomats expressed concern about the presence of a “terrorist” group in East Syria.
