Police officer Shenaqua Stringer responded to the call of 911, who reported a suspicious person who may have wore a gun as she walked to the Venetian Causeway just before 12:30 pm, March 2, according to the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office.

While Balanos was treated from his injuries at the hospital, police found that the suspect was a gun for which the man had reached for a metal cigarette lighter.

The man was not charged with the crime, and the authorities found that a disappeared person from a nearby Collier district.

The situation remains an active internal investigation and Stringer is still employed by the agency, Miami beach The Police Directorate was confirmed by Fox News Digital.
