Charley Hull sets ambitious fitness goals for 2025 and reveals ‘zero interest’ for golf training | Golf news
Charley Hull insists that her biggest goal for 2025 is away from the golf course ahead of the efforts to start the winning start of her ladies of the European Tour season at the Pif Saudi Ladies International.
Hull returns to release the action for the first time after the November win in Aramco team series in Riyadh, where she has asked for a three -goal win and the first world title in more than two years.
The World No 11 is among the favorites before the Riyadh golf course, publishing top-20 finish in each of its last eight world starts, although it is advocated to improve its overall fitness and well-being of its results.
“My main goal is not really on a golf course,” Hull told the media on the eve of the event, Live on Sky Sports from Thursday. “I want to try and lower the run time from 5k to 20 minutes to the end of the year. It is currently about 26 minutes.
“I don’t train in Golf. I have no interested in training for golf. I don’t just want to be a golfer. I want to be an athlete. I train because it’s good for my mental health and that’s good for me. I just enjoy a hobby.”
Hull will unite with the German Chiara Noja, which she faced in an exciting play-off battle on the Aramco Team 2022 series, presented by PIF-Jeddah, and the unique format saw a competition in a team of 36 holes, together with 54 holes an individual event for playing stroke.
Talking about Noah, Hull added, “Yes, she’s great. She’s a really good player. And I have Maria Fassi and my team. I think it’s going to be great fun and it’s nice to have people to talk to go there.
The format shows 28 teams of four professionals, competing in the first two days, with the first two results on each hole to count on a team result, while a three -day competition has a record prize of $ 5 million – the same male event.
“It’s really good and moving the game forward,” Hull said of an increased reward purse. “It’s pretty cool to have the same prize money as men. So, I think it’s really, really good.”
The World No 3 Rioning Yin debut on Saudi Arabia Golf and is the highest player on the field, while Danielle Kang is a team that captures the side of the Aramco Team 2024 series.
“I like the golf team aspect,” Kang said. “Men happen the whole team with Liv Golf, and they move something about it is all more than you. I don’t know, I think it just brings the best in me whenever I get to play for someone else.”
