Security forces in Mexico have arrested a pilot suspected of working for Los Chapitos, a Mexican cartel driven by the sons of closed Lord drug Joaquín “” El Chapo “Guzmán.
The pilot, known for his pseudone “El Jando”, was detained in the northern town of Culiacán, the stronghold of Los Chapitos, in an operation where a soldier was shot.
Mexican intelligence sources claim to be a key figure in Los Chapitos and played a role In a stab surgery that led to the arrest of the second “El Mayo Zambada” cartel in the United States.
Pilot attorneys have asked for more courts for more time to prepare his defense.
While “El Jando” was detained in the early hours of Saturday, detailed information on the accusations equalized against him had only become public in recent days.
Mexican Security Minister told reporters at a press conference on Tuesday that he could confirm that “El Jando” was a reliable pilot “Los Chalitos” leader.
Prosecutors claim that, like a great pilot, he was also involved in drug and weapon trade and in several explosive attacks on security forces.
Most importantly, Mexican intelligence services are now hoping to receive information from “El Jando” about a mysterious flight that brought the requested Kingpin drug “El Mayo” into the hands of US federal agents.
US officials said that “El Mayo” was issued by none other than Joaquín Guzmán López, one of the sons of the infamous “El Chapo” Guzmán.
Officials state that Guzmán López cheated on the 75 -year -old “El Mayoa” – who was a close ally of his father – that he boarded a plane with him, which then crossed the border to the United States.
The photos posted by US police showed that two men were arrested at a private airport near El Pas in Texas by US agents who obviously waited for them at the Airport Armac for their arrival.
Those who are loyal to “El Mayo” think that Joaquín Guzmán López handed over to the leader of the cartel, who avoided arrests in the United States, as part of an agreement on a minor punishment for himself.
The “El Mayo” lawyer denied that his client was “full”, but said Joaquín Guzmán López forced him to plane.
“He was ambushed, thrown to the ground and put foxes … Then they threw him into the back of the truck and took him to landing; there he was forced to plane, his legs Joaquín tied to Joaquín’s seat, and brought to the US against his Will, “the La Times newspaper said.
The lawyer also said that the only people on the plane were “Pilot, Joaquín and my client.”
Although it is not yet clear if “El Jando” – Pilot arrested this weekend – was the one who flew on the plane or helped to plan surgery, Mexican prosecutors seemed to be sure that he could provide them with information about the flight that ended in a flight that was ended the arrest and Guzmán López and “El Mayo”.
“El Mayo” has since declared that he was not guilty of a US Court on a long list of drug charges, while lawyers Joaquín Guzmán López said their client was in negotiations on acknowledgment of guilt.
The alleged betrayal of “El Mayo” Guzmán López led to a division in their cartel with followers of the first, known as “Los Mayos” or “La Mayiz”, attacking those loyal to the other.
