On Wednesday, February 5th, Corey Walker – the only suspect in adults in the case of Pop Smoke murder – accepted an agreement on the confession of guilt offered by prosecutors. According to the media outlet, Walker is expected to receive a sentence of 29 years in prison at a court hearing, which should be held later this month, February 21st.

“I am grateful that the culprits are caught. I appreciate that they are ruled by justice. But my life does not change. I still do not have my son. I will continue to work on his legacy, but it is also a permanent reminder that he is not here.”
Corey Walker was 19 years old when he was first charged with Pop Smoke’s murder
The incident that resulted in the death of pop smoke occurred in February 2020, when Corey Walker – who was 19 at the time – he took three more minors to the rented Airbnb, where he remained a rapper that was on the rise.
