Russ Vought offers a one -word response after his Alma Mater delete the message by congratulating him on a certificate

Wheaton College deleted his message by congratulating Alumnus Russell Vouight on the confirmation of his Senate to serve as the director of the Management and Budget Office.
“On Friday, Wheaton College posted congratulations and invitation to prayer for Alumnus who received a certificate in the White House post. Acknowledgment and prayer is something we usually do for any graduate who reached that level .
“However, the political situation of appointment has led to significant concerns expressed on the network. It was not our intention to join in political debate or dispute. Our institutional and theological obligations are clear that the Faculty is not a non -profit institution, does not give political approval.

Responding to the school’s move, Vought twitched, “Sad!”
Sen. Eric SchmittR-m., He scored Wheaton’s move.
“This is ridiculous – @wheatoncollege it was the first time. @Russvugh is a very achieved alumni that should be celebrated. It is absurd that the smallest minority of the villain wins again.”
Hillsdale College, who also shared a message, congratulating Voughta on the certificate, tweed in an apparent response to wheaton, “Trigger’s warning: We will not delete our earlier post congratulating @russvuight.”
Fox News Digital on Monday requested a comment from Wheaton College, and the school indicated that removing the message was not an apology because of the feelings he had transmitted.
“The post on social networks has brought to more than 1,000 hostile comments, primarily flammable, non -Christian comments about Mr. Vought, in just a few hours. We were not intention to join or Mr. Vought in political debate or dispute. to allow it to become a constant distraction on the network.
