Andy Reid told members of Media 3 February that he had No plans to retire soon. During the Super Bowla Lix opening, when asked if he would hang his playground if the chief on Sunday won a big game, Reid said, “Ah no, I’m not there yet, no … I’m not retiring”,
Reid added that he did not compare his age (66) with the age of former main coach Tamp Bay Buccaneers Bruce Arias when he won, he became the oldest coach who has ever won Super Bowl with 68.
“Yes, I’m not thinking about it, but Bruce was a great coach,” Reid said. “And he was a good man. But you don’t know. I enjoy what I do.”
Reid was not the only person who had to spray the gossip over his adherence. Chairman and CEO of Kansas City Chiefs Clark Hunt also closed the idea of withdrawing Reid withdrawing.
“Yes, I was always surprised to hear those rumors because I know how fun Andy is,” Hunt told Washington Post Nicki Jhabvala. “I think in many ways he is rejuvenated by the success he had. Certainly, he coincides with a return blow that is a perfect addition to him in Patrick, and I know he loves what he does. I am glad we have not heard any of these rumors this year , I know the fact that he will come back next year.
Even old coaches withdrew on the matter. Former coach of the bosses and winner of Super Bowla Dick Vermeil said there is no chance of Reid withdrawing after this season.
“I know him well,” Vermeil said TMZ. “It’s not over at all.”
What does Andy Reid’s future look like?
Andy Reid will be the main coach of Kansas City Chiefs at least an immediate future. Although there is uncertainty in his long-term state, it is certainly assumed that he will train Kansas City by the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
To be fair, I don’t think anyone would be shocked if Reid had announced his pension after Sunday’s game, especially if the chiefs win. Not only would he withdraw as the Super Bowla champion, but he would become the first coach in the history of the NFL, who won three consecutive lombbard trophies.
Even before this Sunday, Reid is the celebrity hall. The man was the main coach of 26 seasons and had only three times the losing record. In fact, he has more performances of Super Bowl in his main coaching career than he lost the season. Also, his 301 career wins and the playoffs of victory are fourth in all times behind only Don Shula, George Halas and Bill Belichick.
There is no doubt that Andy Reid will be built into the Pro Football Hall of Fame whenever he decides to give up the main coaching duties. But why would you like to stop training now?
Since the start of the 2022 season, Kansas City chiefs have been the best team in the NFL. They also do not show signs of slowing down with Patrick Mahomes still under a contract at least three more years and Travis Celce Re -confirming your commitment to playing. Between Reid, Kelce and Mahomes, the core Kansas City will be printed for a few more years, which means that it will compete for championships during that time.
If the chiefs were a team of feeding, then Reid would be more tempted to leave NFL. However, the chiefs are still fighting for Super Bowls on an annual basis. If you are still able to win super bowl, drive that momentum until the wheels fall. Hell, we could talk about the five -time Super Bowl champion Andy Reid in two years.
