Starbucks, Union withdraws lawsuits filed against each other, says the company
(Reuters) -stabucks and its alliance representing over 10,000 barists agreed that they would withdraw the lawsuits filed against each other, the company said, the day after the two parties agreed to bring the intermediary to help continue stopping negotiations.
The conversations between the two sides, which began in April, were stopped in December before the last round, and the union said that the coffee chain had yet to bring a comprehensive package on the table.
The decision brings two step closer to reaching a contract on Friday.
“We continue to work to reach a contract for contracts at one store,” Starbucks said in a statement.
“When Starbucks withdrew his lawsuit, Union withdrew his lawsuit. We are proud to support the Starbucks Barista in his fight for the FER contract,” said the union of workers in the statement of E -later Reuters.
The union embarked on a five -day strike just in front of Christmas, which closed the Starbucks store in several cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle.
