Benavidez Morrell edges in close fight
WBC Temporary Champion in the lightweight category ‘Mexican Monster’ by David Benavidez beat the previously undefeated World Champion in the Lightweight category of WBA David ‘Osvary’ Morell, a unanimous decision at the WBC title in WBC on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Former WBC Super Middle Weight Benavidez, 30-0 (24) beat Morell, 11-1 (9) during 12 rounds. In the first three rounds, there was a giving and taking, with Benavidez a slight edge. In the fourth round they both had scratches on their left eyebrows.
In the fifth round Benavidez swung Morella to the right on his chin, and Morell had a corner. Morell was spinning and landing a combination against Benavidez. In the sixth round it was all Benavidez with a good attack of the body. At the end of the round benavidez, the hard left top on the beard of Morell landed.
In the seventh round, Morell hit Benavidez after the bell, seized the point of Judge Thomas Taylor. From that moment on, Benavidez surpassed Morrell.

The Southpaw Jesus’ El Mono ‘Alejandro Ramos, Jr., 22-1 (18) stopped the Southpaw Jesus’ alison’ Banana ‘Rosario, 24-5-2 (18) in the eighth round of 10 rounds.
Olympic Olympic Mirco Cuello, 1520, 15-0 (12), stopped Christian ‘Kiki’ Olivo, 22-1 (9), in 2:01 tenth and last round of eliminator WBA title.
In the first round, Olivo opposed Cuell with his left on his chin, swinging him. Halfway through the second round, Olivo landed a combination on his chin, throwing cuella on his knee, earning him 8 number from Judge Chris Flores.
