“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy. Skating is more than a sport-this is close to the family and we stand together. We are in close contact with us skating and providing our full support during this incredibly difficult time,” the statement read partly .
Two former Olympians, Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov, were believed to be among the victims of the plane crash, Kremlin confirmed.
