The US District Court judge on Tuesday temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s freeze on financing federal assistance programs. District judge Loren Alikhan cited the “spectrum of irreparable damage” at emergency hearing after the advocacy group claimed that freezing would disrupt programs that serve as tens of millions of Americans. The implementation of the financing freezing is on hold until Monday 17:00 (22:00 GMT).
