Scottie Scheffler Raring for AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM After injury to the freak prepares a Christmas dinner | Golf news
After a freak in the kitchen kept him from the first few events of PGA Tour from 2025, the world number 1 Scottie Scheffler should return this week at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM, live to the live Sky Sports Golf.
Scheffler was just over two weeks removed from his victory on Hero World Challenge in December, when he slightly cut his palm right hand while preparing a Christmas dinner.
The injury required surgery and set aside Scheffler for the guard in Hawaii. He expected him to return to American Express at La Quinta, California earlier this month, but he was not ready yet.
“It was frustrating to sit at home, not be able to play golf, but (my wife, my son and I) had a good time at home only three of us,” Scheffler told Media.
“It’s pretty rare for me to be home all day long, and I really couldn’t do much work. At first I couldn’t do it, it wasn’t much that I could do, so it was nice for us continuous time for us home.
“But it’s definitely still frustrating to watch golf on TV can’t be able to play.”
Scheffler will come back to upgrade to a scintily campaign in 2024, which culminated in his third direct PGA Tour of Player of the Year award.
The 28-year-old emphasized his dominant year with victories at the Masters and The Players Championship, and also won the Olympic Gold Medal and the Fedex Cup title.
Scheffler said he had returned to a normal practice routine in recent days to determine some long -term pain in his arm. He also played training against his Kadi, Ted Scott, in a nearby Cypress Pointa on Monday.
“I took off Teda, so for a while I got the right to brag,” Scheffler joked.
“I can’t afford to lose my tub because they’ll just remind me to keep me beat up constantly, so I was glad I knocked him down.”
Asked if he was concerned about the injury and subsequent surgery affecting his game, Scheffler replied, “At all.”
Scheffler will shoot for his third straight victory, after he closed his victory at Tour Championship in September in September before he asked for an unofficial hero three months later.
Scheffler ran to sixth place at last year’s Pebble Beach Pro-AM, which was cut on three rounds due to the rain. He missed the cut on Pebble Beach during the US Open 2019, but is delighted with his return to the course due to his debut of the delayed season.
“It’s a little strange that he does it at the end of the year, but back well,” he said. “Everything is feeling good. It’s nice to be here in Pebble. Definitely excited to play. I feel good rested. All in all, feel good.”
