Ricki Lake is grateful for the outpouring of support she has received since losing her house fires in Los Angeles at the beginning of this month, including receiving a very special gift.
Taking to her Instagram page on Sunday, Lake explained that one of the things she lost in the fire, which was “so painful” for her, were photo albums from the birth of her son, Owen, in 2001.
The former talk show host did document the birth in her documentary “The Business of Being Born,” but she also had a “beautiful album” of photos from the time.
Over the weekend, Lake said one of her birth doulas, Jennifer Lickson, reached out to her after the fire destroyed her home and offered copies of her son’s birth photos.
