Jamie Carragher was impressed when Jacob Ramsey scored his first league goal since September 2023 and brought Aston Villa in the eighth minute at home against West Ham on Sunday.
Ramsey finished penetrating one or two with Ollie Watkins before finding a further angle of Alphonse Areole net for his second goal this season after scoring a hit Champions League win 3-0 at Young Boys.
“They started sharp,” former English defender Carragher told Sky Sports. “They deserve it. It’s really good football, it goes through West Ham. Super goal super talent. ”

Villa against West Ham: Watkins rejected
Villa thought they scored the second goal on the same left two minutes later when Morgan Rogers scored Watkins’ adding.
It was estimated that the striker of three lions was in the offside, which gave West Hamu delay and denied Watkins to score 101. A direct hit in the Premier League.

West Ham has since played twice in the London stadium, beating 3-2 against Fulham and losing 2-0 from Crystal Palace on January 18th.
These results left them in 14th place on the table, 10 points above the relegation zone and seven less than the upper half with the worst defensive record above the lower four.
Villa started the day as the eighth, which helped a series of six wins and four draws in the last 10 games of the home league, although they are lost 1-0 of Monaco Tuesday.
The third victory would extend their string without defeat in the league for five games and put them in place point behind Bournemouth and Chelseaas well as two behind the fourth -ranked Manchester City.
